FREE Show!!
Nuboo Stage - 8:20pm

Local taste-maker, indie rock DJ and promoter Ross Jackson has said of The Jump Offs, "The band sounds contemporary and sharp, forward-looking." While pleasantly reminiscent of the dance rock wave of the early 2000s, The Jump Offs combine influences such as The Strokes, The Hives, classic rock and anything else the members have self-admittedly pirated off the internet. The five-piece band brings an energy that can't be contained. Driven by lead singer Landon Tom's fuzzy and low vocals and backed by guitar, bass, drums and keyboards/synthesizer, the band members' friendship with each other shines through in their cohesive musical identity.

Soon after their first show in 2009, The Jump Offs blew up on the local scene opening for Of Montreal, MGMT, Menomena, !!!, Matt & Kim and Classix - quickly becoming one of the most in-demand outfits in Honolulu. About that time, recognizing an opportunity to have some fun with their popularity, The Jump Offs initially released their self-titled EP by hiding copies in and around Honolulu for fans to stumble upon. People eagerly await another such opportunity to get their hands on some new Jump Offs music. In the meantime, don't miss another live performance. Contrast magazine writes, "The Jump Offs make you want to move. Hell, they make themselves want to move." With that said, don't be surprised if you find yourself shuffling, if not full-on dancing, when they make their Hallowbaloo debut on the Nuboo Stage on Saturday, October 29th!
