dj mr. nick is indeed a gentleman, well-deserving of the "mr." before his name. And in the most gentlemanly fashion, mr. nick will blow your mind. A popular and eclectic Honolulu DJ who got his start at KTUH 90.3fm, mr. nick has been playing all over Honolulu for nearly a decade, having garnered residencies at Chinatown clubs Bar 35, thirtyninehotel and NextDoor.
mr. nick believes in the power of music to tear down barriers and unite people from all walks of life. Just about every genre of music carries some baggage whether it be high brow brooding, hippie idealism or ghetto machismo. mr. nick forces you to check such emotional weights at the door by getting everyone in the room locked into the groove and then taking the beat from jazz to electro to Bossa Nova to soul. Soon hip-hoppers are trippin on house, hipsters bouncin to funk, and the biases have disappeared. One Vibe - One People.
